From Narita Airport to Tokyo
SeeJapan recommends the Narita Express (NE’X) for travel between Narita Airport and Tokyo. Access to the train is easy from Terminals 1 and 2 and the train stops at the major tourist destinations of Tokyo, Shinagawa, Shibuya, Shinjuku and Ikebukuro. Trains to Tokyo Station take 53 minutes. All seats are reserved.
If you can’t find the Narita Express, ask an airport employee “Narita Express?” or show them the following Japanese: 成田エクスプレス 乗り場はどこですか？
The Narita Express is also the easiest way to connect with bullet trains (shinkansen) via Tokyo Station. You can purchase a connecting bullet train ticket along with your Narita Express ticket. Tokyo Station is large and you will be carrying luggage so allow a minimum transfer time of 30 minutes between trains.
To purchase a ticket from the airport to Echigo-Yuzawa Station via Tokyo, show the station employee the following Japanese: 越後湯沢駅迄のチケットをお願いします。
The trip takes 1 hour and 17 minutes.
To purchase a ticket from the airport to Nagano Station via Tokyo, show the station employee the following Japanese: 長野駅迄のチケットをお願いします。
The trip takes 1 hour and 25 minutes.
